kACARS error message
« on: April 03, 2020, 07:40:39 AM »
I have been using kACARS for quite a while on a Windows 10 computer. Yesterday I started it as usual, but when I press the connect button I got the following error message. Can anybody decipher it for me and tell me what  need to do to get kACARS working again?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I haven't been able to login at all either the last 2 days. I have had same error messages in the past and restarted gaming computer and have gotten things to work in the past but not at this point.
Have v1.0.1.1 installed, have changed HTTP to HTTPS and back again (neither work).

No pressure guys to correct the issue. Just information to help troubleshoot maybe. Feel free to ask me any other questions if needed.

At least with this downtime from flying I am motivated to tweak and upgrade my system instead of flying so much.

Attachment was screenshot from months ago when issues for me started but this is the same error I am currently getting FYI.

Got it, I think. The module that runs kACARS and that was on the new server  was an old one that I left there when I tried to do a server change last year. I have upgraded it now. Try it now. I highly recommend that you use https://fly-twva.com as your Base URL. It keeps everything from prying eyes, and with all the kids home from school now, there will be a lot of Script Kiddies playing around now.

That last thing you did Brian got it running on both of my computers now using the https://www.fly-twva.com setting.  Guess I need to go change my Ozark kACARS profile to use the https://www.ozarkva.net setting.   8)

Mucho Gracious for the fix , sir !

I'm unable to connect with kACARS again. This time I get the error message "Notify System Administrator of the Switch Error, Data not recieved, Switch = verify". I am flying online with VATSIM, so I know my internet connection is certainly working. Also the base URL is set to https://www.fly-twva.com. I have been using it without any problem recently, this just suddenly started today.
