welll, I have mine set to be flown by an idiot ::LOL::.. It starts with engines running and ready to go. I still do everything via VFR ( even from forty thousand feet ) and if i get lost, i have a GPS. All these years, i would open the flight model, make a change on a number, start fsx and test the change, then exit fsx and make another change. Do that a few thousand times and i think anyone gets tired, so things like civa, fms and navigation go out the window. I just want to fly any more so i make it as simple as possible.. I also have an efb which gives me a map thats better than the gps for when i really get lost ::lol::. One of the things i like best about xp-11 is that the language used in the flight model is totally alien to me. I  havent got a clue how to change it and that pretty much suits me fine because i only have to fly :) ..
So, do we support X-Acars yet??  would love to fly again..

Thats the flyjsim pro. Odd, I was under the impression it was study level.. Fantazstic little plane though. Simply completely love the beast ::lol::, although, i must say that with as easily as i tire any more,   flights as long as or longer than a couple hours are seriously taxing so i try to make short hops of just a couple hundred miles.. Maybe the bay area to LAX..
I would also highly recommend the 737-200V3 by the same authors. Very fun..

Whats confusing me is that the Saab 340 and the Swearingen -fairchild are two completely different aircraft. I cant help but think that when i came back, I did do a flight in an S34 Saab and it was listed that way, but, is no longer there..Happy to change, no problems there. Its just kinda weird..

Cool. thanks Mike.. I'll give that a shot..  been having a hell of a time finding aircraft that work in XP-11 so far. seems that anything before XP-10 is not supported for one reason or another.. S34 is one that does. but its an XP-10 plane.. CRJ-200 has been updated to XP-11 and a compatibility patch has been released for the CH-300, but we dont fly bombardier.. ::sigh::  777 is broken, x737-800 works, MD-80 and rotate MD-82 work, E-170 Evo works, E-195 works, ERJ-140 is a disaster, EMB-110 Bandit kinda works. Very frustrating ::LOL:: I still need to test XACARS..

I like that Engine treatment. The 777 engines are so large that any solid color causes them to become the focus of attention with any livery. That hark bite, breaks it up and balances out the entire appearance of the aircraft. Very nice and well done..

Pencils!!?? :::LOL:: yeahhh, its a long little doggy for sure.. I had to have it. Its not supposed to have spoilers. Its the only commercial aircraft designed to use reverse thrust for slowing down and losing altitude.. "I" thought; Hey, this could be a challenge!. I was wrong.. This thing can be put down, literally on a dime. Hit flaps 50 at 120 knots and you float down like an angel..
But the greatest pencil of all, is the legendary A340-600. This thing is so long, it has two of its own postal codes.. Incredible plane. I had the captain Sim version of it in FSX and flew it everywhere. I loved that thing.. Yeahhh, the DC-8 may not be an A-340 but oh my word is it sweet to fly, even with a five year old worn out joystick, thats seen more flights than any stick should ever see..

THE LOUNGE / Substituting aircraft???

Ok, I know that for me to open a topic with the title of substituting aircraft, is probably not the wisest thing to do, however.. Hear me out as this has nothing to do with a DC-8 or C-17 or even a concorde..
Indeed, what this is about rather, is dealing with a complete vacuum of appropriate aircraft in X-Plane due to the lack of a large number of developers.. For instance, and of most importance, although XP has the LES SAAB-340, its a fifty dollar model due to it being a study level aircraft. There are no freeare versions of that aircraft. Likewise, There is no EMB 120 brazilia, nor a metroliner worth flying, whatsoever. Howerver, what XP does have, is an EMB-110 Bandit. Its slightly smaller with a 20 passenger limit, It's also only twenty five dollars. With comparable performance and sizes, I would like to substitute the 110 for the 120, to help fill in the gaps so to speak.. Is that OK???

Hank Worked with me some on that triple seven to help me get it right yesterday. I'm strill not really happy with it, but it looks much better. I think that once the new X-Plane is released, things will look a lot better all around.. The lighting with the weather plugin i have is interesting to say the least. Beautiful skys, beautiful clouds, really dark airplanes.. C'Mon Laminar! Lets get a move on....
