Interesting photo it sure is an orange ball more like the earth. Of course us New England  folks do things to a different beat. Next time you land in KBOS I will fly down from KCON for some Sam Adams.

Interesting  information information  which I was familiar with not sure if I could write the definitions from memory but probably could do fairly well in a multiple choice situation. My introduction to these terms was during my 25 yr. RC Flying Career starting way back in 1975.  Back in those days we built all of our aircraft either from kits or scratch built and several of the guys were master scale builders and  used to compete  in the WWI  RC Scale Model meet at The Old Reinbeck  Aerodrome in Reinbeck,New York. I attended these meets and took family members to the aerodrome countless times. Cole Palen and his crew would put  on a show with actual and replica WWI aircraft powered with rotary engines. During this activity I was introduced to the the French terms used in aviation. Those were some of the happiest times in my life especially when I took my Dad who attended Roosevelt Aviation School  and became a mechanic for Northeast Airlines on the DC3 etc.  While at Roosevelt he saw the original WWI Aircraft that Cole Palen  purchased and took to Reinbeck to start the flying museum which still exists today. Those interested can find the facebook page for more information.

Thinking of you and sending prayers in your direction as a prostate cancer survivor I always approach my yearly testing with caution as a cancer diagnosis always changes your life. Wishing you the best through the course of treatment and beyond.

It looks interesting however being on a fixed income at this point it is not something that I will be likely to jump on unless this pulls my FSX  out of the the ring. Then I would need to do alot  of soul searching as to when I might be forced to retire from the on line activity required  with Acars and the like. Progress is fantastic but at some point reality of such an investment would mandatory for me.

Looking good Mike I am  still working to get the texture to show in my JBK  "Northeast " is special to me  as my Dad worked for them as a mechanic in the early 1940's. He went on to work for American Export Airlines at the KLGA  Marine terminal in New York servicing the Sikorsky VS 44 Flying Boats which carried passengers from New York to Europe. There were three of these built. The Excambian,Excalibur and Exeter. The Excambian was refurbished and is now on display in the New England Air Museum at Windsor Locks,Connecticut adjacent to Bradley Field.
