Thank you all. Please forgive me, I have been remiss in not keeping you informed.
The procedure went well. Doc says he got it all and it was not attached very deeply at all. In fact he said it barely bled when he cut it out. That said, it was bigger than we thought  although that's not alarming as the CT scan where it was spotted was done without contrast and therefore the measurements could easily be off. Doc does think it was cancerous, but since it wasn't very deep into the bladder wall, it shouldn't be a major thing. I go on the 16th for a follow up, and we will be going over the pathology results. We don't expect any problems there, so it looks like this is now a part of my history.

To God be the glory.

First of all, let me just say that I am not after sympathy. I am telling you all because I covet your prayers if you are so inclined. So here goes:

On about the 29th of December, I went to the local emergency room for a problem that was diagnosed as a urinary tract infection. No big deal, but I didn't think that was right. Turns out, it wasn't. The next day, the hospital called back and told me that the radiologist had looked at the CT scan they had done and had spotted a small mass in my bladder. A week ago I had a consult with the chief urologist at the VA hospital in Charleston, SC and he is pretty sure that it is a tumor. However, taking in all the information he has, he says that in about 80% of these cases, it is low-grade cancer.

I go back on the 1st of Feb. and he will put me under and scope the bladder to better see what's going on. If it is what he thinks, it will just be laying on the bladder wall and he can remove it easily right then and there, and that should be the end of it. They will do further testing to confirm the diagnosis, and I will have to go back about every three months to keep an eye on it.

I will keep you all posted, but worst case scenario is I may have to have the bladder removed. Not the way I wanted to live out my remaining days, but it's doable. I am in the care of the Great Physician, so I am not worrying (at least not much) and even if He takes me home, I know that to live is Christ and to die is gain. In other words: You can't threaten me with Heaven!

Maintenance doesn't like this, Marty. You woke them up from their extended nap to come change those tires.  ;)

Glad you found them, DC. A good friend and former OVA pilot emailed me not long ago about them, and I have failed in passing the information along. Feel free to download and use any of them. Just use the closest match from our hangars when filing the pirep.

I was trying to speed the forums up tonite (I'm sure you have all noticed its sluggishness of late) by cleaning out threads older than 60 days. What I didn't know was that the threads in the Tutorials board had not been pinned and now they are gone. If anyone has them saved, would you please let me know, so I can restore them? The worst part is the forums are still slow.

No shame, Marty. That is a bugger of an airport to get into. I remember March Madness, too. We need to do another groupie soon.

Even though you have the most recent FSUIPC, there was a security problem with it a while back and they asked everyone to re-download it and install it again.  You might want to try that and see if it makes a difference.  The only other thing that would cause it that I am aware of is a website error, but since you are the only one having the problem, it can't be that.

At what point does it cast the error?  I assume it's when you click "File Pirep" is it not?  Also, two more questions:  Are you using FSX or FS9, and when did you last update FSUIPC?

READ BEFORE REGISTERING!!! / Registration (Read Me)

If you are considering registering for these forums, there are a couple of things to be aware of.

1.  First and foremost -- You must be on the roster at OVA, TWVA, or both.

2.  If you do not tell me who you are, I cannot determine whether or not you meet the criteria for number 1.  Therefore, you MUST use the correct format for your username, i.e.  Your Name/Pilot ID.  Failure to use this format will result in a rejection of your registration.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but board spammers are everywhere and these measures help me to keep them away.  Please help me in this endeavor.
