Haha, ok so I found out this is a true story and I had to share. One of my favorite captains I fly with is retiring this month. Between the Air Force (B-52) and the Commercial (CRJ200), he has flown for 30+ years. I asked him what was his favorite story or occurrence that he ever had!? He told me there is one day that will never be topped.
The captain said he was working with the FO to get the flight ready and going over paperwork. They noticed people were laughing getting on the flight but thought nothing of it. Then a gentlemen stood in the doorway and they thought it was someone wanting to see in. Just as they turn around in walked Leslie Nielsen and in character told them his famous line from Airplane "Good Luck. We're all counting on you." At which point he just turned and walked to his seat. He said they both were in tears laughing along with the FA and the passengers within ear shot. Said to this day, that has never been topped.
