That's some pretty detailed freeware scenery.  You remember where you got it?  Might see if it will slide into P3d.

Still got my FS9 Captain Sim "Legendary" 727 and 707 birds.  Had to put a compatible panel and sound pack, but she still flies in P3d!.  Great shot of a grand aircraft.

Smooth runway?

Pretty much, but it had some ice and slick spots on it.  Was checking out a potential new destination KJAC, Jackson Hole Wyoming.  Interesting approach with hills and mountains abound.  Decided to skirt this "mole hill" to come around for RWY 19.

A double dose of SHARK ... fins and an engine bite.  This is the TDS 737 Max8.  After my first landing with it, they are already scripting a major production film ... "Madd Max8: Fury Beyond the Threshold"

TWVA allows for aircraft substitutions for some of the exact reasons you have indicated.  The aircraft should have similar capacity and range, (ie.  subbing a DC-3 on a B747 flight defies the bounds of common sense).  The EMB-110 to EMB-120 you indicate looks like a fine substitution from a logical, common sense approach.

All I ask my pilots do is to include in the comments section of the PIREP the type of bird flown.  It makes reviewing the PIREP data easier in regards to fuel burns, times, etc.  I have a lot of pilots with payware Airbus products that can cross over to Boeing and MD-83 routes quite easily, and I am fond of trotting out the Thomas Ruth DC-10 on some of the L-1011 routes.

What he said ^_^.
How you can take a simple white Embraer, and still make it pop off the page is simply amazing.

Tom -
Many thanks for the post.  My son and daughter-in-law live in the Boston area, (Somerville), and we have made many trips there ... and since it doesn't look they are going to move, I anticipate many more.

The wifey is always inquiring about what to plan for the next trip.  Thanks to you, I have a USDA, grade A #1 selection.   :)  ((Maybe not for her ... but the son and I will have a blast!))

Although the engines survived getting shark-bit, that is one heck of a fin on the wing of this bird!  All I can say is ..........

Have always liked the 3-holers with the 727 and her big cousin the L-1011.  Maybe it's from the brain-washing of the 70's TV programming.   ???
