Title: Extra Cash Charter Flights
Post by: Marty Barnes / TWVA-KLAX on March 28, 2016, 10:59:12 PM
Found myself with a layover in virtual Hawaii, so decided to make a little extra cash with some island hopping charters.  Rustled up the perfect bird:

Marty, looks good. Never had any luck flying turbo props. Just did 2 ATR 72 flights and they were real bad.

Agree, Howard. I have flown several real turboprops, including the P-3C, the Beech C-12B (Kingair 200)  and the Army OV-1A. I have yet to find a flight sim model that even comes close to simulating turboshaft characteristics. I see comments from developers that say the capability within FSX to match up propeller angle, RPM and shaft horsepower just doesn't exist. Consequently speed, power settings, taxi thrust and fuel burn are way off in most cases.
