Hello virtual aviators. You have arrived at the former home of Ozark Virtual Air Lines. Ozark Virtual started in early 2002. Back then Ron Sprinkel along with his fleet manager Mark Plumley had a idea and wanted to start a classic virtual airline. That VA was developed into one of the oldest and longest running virtual airlines online. Ozark enjoyed many years of virtual aviation alongside its close partner, Trans World Virtual Airline, both online on VATSIM and IVAO, and offline. Recently, however, given the decline in the popularity of our hobby,and the problem of server security issues, it was decided to close the hangar doors and turn out the lights in the office.
This decision has not been easy. Because of the wonderful memories of more than twenty years, a part of me wants to continue on. However, reality dictates that we close the doors. So, thank you to all who made Ozark Virtual Airlines a special VA. I want to give a shout out to a few who deserve mentioning. First, the co-founders Ron Sprinkel and Mark Plumley. Also, Marty Barnes who was always ready with a helping hand. Richie Walsh in the early days, as well as Jeff McKee. Thank you to all.
