R. I. P Bob Hoover

It was recently reported that Bob Hoover has passed at the age of 94. Those who get the Flightaware  or have access to the EAA web page can read about his fantastic life and watch some videos. Bob was always a hero to  me as I had the opportunity to see him perform three times at our small local airshow at KCON. This was in the 1980"s and earl 1990's prior to the 911 concerns. The field was open with no fences so I could get within a arms length of Bob as he entered his Shriek. Always a gentlemen with a smile and that Panama Hat on  his head. Fortunately he remained active through the later years and was quite productive up to the time of his death as I understand it.
