Welcome to Ozark Virtual
Ozark Air Lines was a pioneering regional airline that came to be in 1950 when it started DC-3 service between Saint Louis Downtown Airport and Chicago with stops in Illinois. Well known for its "Go Getter Bird" and "Three Swallows" trademarks, Ozark grew to a major national carrier with a strong hub in Saint Louis where it had its roots.
Ozark Virtual Airlines takes you back to the glory days of Ozark, and if you fly using a flight simulator, we sincerely hope you'll consider joining us. We fly the aircraft and the routes the actual Ozark flew, and we welcome new pilots. We do not restrict our pilots to smaller aircraft and make them work their way up. Fly any aircraft in our hangar on any of our 1000+ routes. We offer your choice of three ACARS programs to track your flights and automatically file your PIREP's, and you may fly using FSX, Prepar3d, FS9, or X-Plane.
New to Virtual Airlines? Wondering what is a Virtual Airline? A virtual airline or VA is an organization dedicated to the hobby of flight simulation and models, as closely as possible, the operations of a real-world airline. Virtual airlines generally have a presence on the Internet, similar to a real airline and provide compelling, realistic, experiences similar to operations of a real airline using a flight simulator.
Why Should I Join a Virtual Airline? There are probably as many answers to this as there are virtual pilots. However, the most common answer is that pilots are looking for more. After loading up their flight sim with a host of aircraft, AI traffic and flying all over the place, pilots wonder if there is more to this hobby and the answer is Yes! By joining a virtual airline, you are joining a community of aviation enthusiasts who share in your passion of this great hobby and will allow you to share your flight simulation knowledge and gain new knowledge and experience from others.
